Keren Hanan Exhibition, Brody House In Budapest Until 22 December
"Keren Hanan has given recitals throughout the world, including in New York, Boston, Rome, London, Budapest, Vietnam and China. In the last few years, she has played with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic, the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra in New York, to name just a few.

Keren has worked with world famous conductors such as Zubin Mehta, took part in leading Chamber Music Festivals, and collaborated with Cellist Steven Isserlis.

In recent years, Keren began to work on expressing the deep emotions and feelings from different masterpieces into the visual medium of painting. Her unique talent as a concert pianist has allowed her to visualise and express the motions and inner meanings she captures from the music. Through the use of colours, textures and forms, Keren shows the world an inner glimpse into the essence of the structure and motives within the musical piece.

Her most recent work can be viewed at the Music in Colours Exhibition located at the Brody House (Bródy Sándor utca 10, 1088 Budapest). The exhibition opened on the 9th of December 2010 with a highly attended and successful concert.

The exhibition is open every day from 15:00 to 18:00 until the 22nd of December 2010.

Keren will be making a special appearance to show and answer questions about her work on the 14th and 21st of December between 16:00 and 18:00.

Keren was very moved by the recent Red Sludge Disaster. The exhibition includes photographs taken by Keren when she visited Devecser with the Hungarian Red Cross. As part of her efforts to help the people affected by the disaster, Keren is donating 10% from all the sales of paintings in her exhibition to the Hungarian Red Cross."

Presto, 100 x 120cm, Oil on Canvas

Inspired by Rachmaninoff Moment Musical op.16 no.4

The layers of the painting represent the voices coming out in the piece, the quickness in the colours.
