'Mood Concert', Palace Of Arts, 2 June, 5 p.m. |
 "The Palace of Arts has become such a central feature of Budapest’s musical life over the past three and a half years that it is hard now to work out how we survived without it. And by the same token, it is impossible to imagine the Palace without the Mood Concerts.For the last two years, several times a week students from the Budapest Academy of Music, and also young musicians from conservatoires or regional musical colleges, give intimate concerts around the Foyer of the Palace.
Each Tuesday, lighter genres and folk music programmes will receive pride of place in the Banner Hall, while on Wednesdays and Thursdays, the Glass Hall will host classical music concerts. On Thursdays, jazz takes centre stage, creating a great mood in the Foyer or the Banner Hall.
