MTelekom Starts Brand Merger

MTelekom Starts Brand Merger
"Listed telecommunication and cable television operator Magyar Telekom (MTel) will launch its T-Home brand to replace the T-Com, T-Online and T-Kábel names on Sep 8, the company announced last week.

T-Home will be the brand for home-related wireline communications and entertainment services. With the new brand, the selection of wireline services offered to the self-employed, and small- and medium-sized enterprises will be updated as well.

Renewed

The corporate “T” brand will also be renewed; it will serve as an umbrella brand covering T-Home, T-Mobile and T-Systems .

The T-Mobile brand, comprising both residential and business services, will be renewed as well, while T-Systems continues to service its customers as the brand for small and large business solutions and info-communications (telecom and IT) services.

The company says the aim is to develop a simpler brand structure which can be easily identified by customers.
The changes will be supported with a huge media campaign prepared by McCann Ericsson, introducing MTel’s new slogan “Life is for sharing.”

The slogan refers to today’s increased importance of communication, the company said."
