"Eleven Hungarian tourists died and 27 others were injured in Hurghada, Egypt on Sunday, when a bus carrying tourists from their hotel to the local airport overturned for reasons unknown, police announced last night. The accident occurred when the bus collided with a lorry, Kossuth Rádió reported at midnight.The dead were customers of the travel agency Best Reisen, office manager Tibor Zám announced. Several of those injured have already undergone surgery, Zám added.
Hungary's embassy in Cairo says the accident had claimed 10-12 lives and left 15-20 Hungarians with serious injuries. Ambassador Péter Kveck he is in regular contact with the Egyptian authorities.
The Foreign Ministry said the Egyptian prime minister has offered both his condolences and “far-reaching” governmental assistance.
A plane carrying the tourists, including the injured, was scheduled to land in Budapest at around 1 a.m."
