Nokia Windows Phone Based Smart Telephones Now On Sale At T-Mobile In Hungary
"As of January 20, T-Mobile begins the sale in Hungary of Nokia’s two mobile phones with Windows Phone operating system, the Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710. The real novelty of the sets is the Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system, which means that a mobile phone with the same capabilities as the PC can be used for all the usual activities anywhere and at any time.

The mobile versions of Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint will help Lumia owners on the move. A document or excel work sheet can be set up on the phone, which can be synchronised with the help of the SkyDrive service and the work started can be continued on the home or office PC. And cooperation with colleagues will be easy to arrange with the help of the SharePoint Workspace.

The new Nokia phones are smart not only on the inside; their striking design also singles them out from standard sets. The full-size screen design, the rounded and refined form as well as the single-piece body and the curved AMOLED screen creating a floating impression will undoubtedly impress the user.

The 3.7” ClearBlack AMOLED touch screen with a definition of 800x480 pixels is able to display 16 million colours. Thanks to this screen the texts, photos and videos appear with extreme sharpness.

For taking photographs the Nokia Lumia 800 deploys an 8-megapixel camera, automatic and touch focus, and LED-flash and, of course, it can shoot videos in HD quality. With its automatic face recognition function the photos taken can be tagged easily and then shared in a blink of the eye in community sites through the built-in Twitter and Facebook applications.

Even the environmentally aware can be proud of this equipment, as it also operates in an energy saving mode, it contains no PVC, its surface is free from nickel as well as from brominated and chlorinated components or antimony trioxide. All material used in the equipment can be recycled either as basic material or as energy. The packaging does not contain any petroleum-based plastic and is made of material that can be fully recycled.

As part of T-Mobile’s hello holnap! environmentally conscious strategy all this is complemented with a special offer: any old set can be traded in for up to HUF 10,000 for the purchase of a Nokia Lumia 800 or 710. Furthermore the first 300 customers who buy online a Nokia Lumia 800 or 710 handset will receive a souvenir of a designer cycle bag made from recycled cloth.

“The Nokia Windows Phone mobile phones will be successful in the Hungarian market too. We expect that the customer demand for smart phones will continue to increase in 2012, so we will also try to serve the expanded demand with an expanded offer.

The appearance in our offer of Nokia Lumia equipment is good news for our customers who traditionally choose Nokia sets and would like to switch to a smart phone. We hope that their introduction in Hungary will open up further possibilities in broadband mobile services,” said István Király, Magyar Telekom’s Chief Marketing Officer."
