 "Duncan Weston has taken over as managing partner of CMS Cameron McKenna LLP, replacing Dick Tyler, who has held the position since 2000.Weston was appointed last November to succeed Tyler, following a vote of the firm’s partnership.
He was previously Managing Partner of the firm’s Central and Eastern European (CEE) network of eight offices and more than 300 lawyers. He has also been the client lead partner for major private equity clients in the region.
Weston has been with CMS Cameron McKenna since 1993, becoming a partner in 1995.
He has specialist legal expertise in privatization, cross border M&A and private equity investment and joint ventures. During his time as CEE managing partner, the firm’s practice in the region has grown dramatically.
Fee income has tripled, the firm merged with Eastern European commercial law firm Hayhurst Robinson at the start of 2006, and new offices have opened including the firm’s expansion last Sep into Kiev, Ukraine. “Dick has been an excellent managing partner and is widely acknowledged as a very tough act to follow,” commented Weston.
“I relish the challenge, though, and my initial priority will be to ensure we achieve or exceed on our 2009 three-year objectives.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Dick in his new role leading CMS.”
In Sep, Tyler will step up to become Executive Partner of CMS, when Robert Derry-Evans retires.
 BAT Hungary has appointed a new product marketing manager, László Hunyady.
Hunyady will be responsible for the brand strategy of BAT Hungary. Commenting on his appointment he said: “I feel this task is an enormous challenge – primarily due to the strict laws and regulations and the delicate market conditions. “I will do everything in my power to ensure BAT Hungary appears in the market as a responsible corporation, creative and innovative, while also observant of regulations.”
After graduating from the College for Modern Business Studies in Budapest, Hunyady started his professional career in sales and marketing at Unilever Hungary, followed by two years at Borsod Brewery as brand manager. From 2001, he was a senior brand manager at Zwack Unicum Rt.
In addition to introducing Unicum Next to the market, he was credited with repositioning, rejuvenating and modernizing the Unicum brand. Later he worked on the Ohio testing of Unicum Next and its introduction to the American market. His speaks English and German and, in his free time, organizes and plays in a five-a-side soccer team, and enjoys travelling and diving.

Balázs Stemler (34) has been appointed as the Marketing Manager of Develor.
Stemler is responsible for company communications in Hungary, and for the annual events of the company, such as the Develor Hungarian Multinational Companies’ Conference and the Golden Key Training Venue Event. In addition, he covers the regional marketing tasks of the Develor group as well.
As a computer engineer and marketing bachelor, he had previously worked for 10 years in the IT industry. He was the marketing manager of the KFKI Group during 2005-2007, where he was dedicated to the marketing tasks of both KFKI-LNX and IQSYS.
Prior to this, he was the marketing manager of Montana Rt. and HUMANSoft Kft. He speaks English."
