"Roma in various parts of Hungary, especially in and around Mohács in southern Hungary, are preparing to go abroad, mainly to Canada since that country removed visa requirements on March 1, according to Magyar Hírlap. Dozens of Roma have reportedly flown to Canada on a fact-finding tour.
István Kovács, president of the Mohács Roma Authority, is encouraging Roma to leave Hungary, saying they have no chance of making a living here. Officials from the local authority, as well as the Labour and Foreign Ministries, are giving talks this week to local residents about what legal possibilities they have for working abroad."
