'The Cimbora', Palace of Arts, 9 October

'The Cimbora', Palace of Arts, 9 October
"The Cimbora (chum or buddy) University at the Palace of Arts. The open shooting of the Duna Television’s programme starts from 12 - 4 p.m.

The ’Cimbora’ was Elek Benedek’s child magazine, to which the most well-known writers and poets of the age had contributed. Three decades ago, the child and juvenile television programme entitled ’Cimbora’ was born in the spirit of this magazine, and can now be seen again on the Duna Television after some years of pause. Furthermore, the 33th anniversary of its creation was celebrated right in the Palace of Arts last year.

In 2004, the editor of the ’Cimbora’ programmes, Márta É. Szabó, started the educational series designed for young people, called ’Cimbora Egyetem’ (Cimbora University), in which reknowned historians, literary critics and musicians give lectures on King Mathias and the renaissance age this year. The series, launched in January, will continue until the end of the school year and will be drawn to a close by a contest called ”Be King Mátyás yourself!”.

The shooting of the programme will take place in the Concert Hall of the Palace of Arts. Those who are interested in attending the shootings are to register in advance by clicking here."
