"Turkey has suspended the import of Hungarian cattle, director of the animal farmers association MÁSZ Zsombor Wagenhoffer said. The growth of the livestock in Hungary was mainly due to exports to Turkey Wagenhoffer added.Turkish authorities detected several cases when Hungarian documents were used illegally repeatedly, probably smuggling in cattle from countries neighbouring Hungary, from where Turkey does not import on veterinary considerations Wagenhoffer argued.
Agricultural Minister Sándor Fazekas ordered a strict audit at cattle exporting companies on Friday."
