"Anti-Terrorist Centre units exchanged gunfire with the two men wanted in connection with a shooting incident in Budapest before capturing them both on Friday in Miskolc. One of the two suspects fired on the commando units from a third-storey balcony of a prefabricated housing developmentThose arrested are two of three men who shot at security guards who asked to see their identification papers at a filling station in Soroksár, Budapest’s 23rd District, on November 19. The third suspect turned himself in last week. No security guard was injured in the incident.
Budapest deputy police chief Walter Fülöp said the three had placed a forged licence plate on their car as they had been preparing a bigger crime.
A number-recognising system at the petrol station showed that the car was not identical with the plate, prompting the security guards to ask for the identity papers.
