'World Press Photo Exhibition', Millenáris, Until  19 October
"The exhibition is to be held in a new location from 2008: the Millenáris Fogadó gives home to the World Press Photo, which once again reflects the past year: visitors can see the best press photos of the world and get to know the stories behind them.


It is an enjoyable experience for everybody who wants to have a better understanding of the world around them or for those interested in visual culture.

Participating record:, 5 019 photo journalists from 125 countries nominated altogether 80 536 pictures. The 13-member international panel of judges gave out awards to 59 photo journalists of 24 countries in 10 categories.

Hungarian record: Balázs Gárdi, Zsolt Szigetváry and Gudzowaty Tomasz - Anna Berekai won altogether 4 awards in the 10 categories. The Fogadó will show the history, the politics, the sport, the art, the environmental changes and scientific results of our times compacted into 200 pictures
