Dear Member, great news about last night’s Xpat Party for Charity, HUF 2.5+ million was raised to support local children in need.

Many thanks are due to everyone involved for making XpatLoop’s birthday celebration a bigger success than ever before for charity. Every single forint raised yesterday, a record amount for this annual event, will be go to local charities.

250+ Xpats came together in the Corinthia Hotel's historic ballroom to raise money for charity at XpatLoop's 15th birthday celebration. It featured plenty of refreshments, live music, exotic dancers, a laser show, virtual bonfire + fireworks, all adding up make it an enjoyable and worthwhile occasion. Praise is due to all event supporters, as this annual XpatLoop.com fundraiser proved a bigger success than ever, with HUF 2.5+ m raised. more »

Govt Could Set Minimum Sales Staff Requirement At RetailersHungary’s government is on course to draft legislation in the next two weeks which would set a minimum staff requirement for shops over 400sqm, business daily Világgazdaság said. The draft bill would require that retailers make at least one staff member available to shoppers for every 70sqm of space during business hours, the paper said. The possibility of such a measure could be a source of pressure at talks on wages between the government and employers, it added. more »
