British International School Evacuated Again After New Bomb ThreatThe school in Budapest's 3rd district, which employs a raft of British staff and educates children of multiple nationalities, received a call on 19 January saying a bomb had been planted inside. BISB told XpatLoop, “At 8.15am this morning we received a phone call informing of a bomb threat. In line with our school policies, we informed the police and immediately evacuated the school to ensure the safety of all our students and staff. All students and staff were moved to safe locations." The school was evacuated by terror police on 9 December last year over a similar threat, and fortunately no bomb was found. more »

Brokers Pocket HUF 74 Billion Selling Hungarian Settlement Bonds1145 foreigners were granted residency permits in Hungary in 2015 after purchasing settlement bonds. Magyar Nemzet reports that offshore companies brokering the sale of the bonds have made between HUF 74 billion (USD 255 million) and HUF 95 billion (USD 328 million) since the program was launched three years ago. more »
