The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) forecasts Hungarian economic growth of an annual 3% in 2017 and 2018, the organisation said in its latest Regional Economic Prospects report. The EBRD raised its GDP growth forecast for 2017 from 2.4%.

Consumer prices in Hungary grew by an annual 2.7% in March, slowing from 2.9% in February, the Central Statistical Office said. Emerging market analysts in London had forecast headline inflation between 2.8% and 3.3%. KSH department head Borbála Minarik attributed the slower pace mainly to the monthly decrease of fuel and tobacco prices.

She told public news channel M1 that she plans to cover around 1,140kms solo, pulling her belongings on a sledge during the day and sleeping in a tent at night.
