A quick stroll around the city centre is enough to see that Budapest is home to many an ambitious mural. The inner-city is heaving with bold designs splashed onto the sides of its larger buildings, bringing colour to otherwise blank facades or ornamenting walls recently-revealed by demolition.

Budapest is a fast developing city. Not a month seems to go by without new building springing up or a busy city square getting a much needed renovation. Also gaining speed is the gentrification of certain neighborhoods in the city – particularly the Jewish Quarter in the centre.
