Swedish automotive safety manufacture Autoliv will create 700 new jobs in Hungary by expanding its seatbelt manufacturing plant in Sopronkövesd. The decision was announced on 23 February at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Budapest.

The State Audit Office (ÁSZ) has found discrepancies at the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) during a recent screening, ÁSZ told MTI. US audio equipment maker Harman, which supplies audio systems to carmakers such as Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche and Land Rover, is undertaking a 3.5 billion forint (EUR 11.4m) expansion in Pécs, in southwest Hungary. The investment will create 420 jobs, raising Harman’s headcount in Hungary to over 2,000.
