At his press conference on Thursday (“Government Info 22 – Government actions explained”) the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office János Lázár said that the Government utterly rejects any proposal for the setting up of a refugee camp in Hungary under the supervision and control of the European Commission. Government commissioner Attila Aszódi is heading a delegation to Vienna to discuss with the International Atomic Energy Agency the expansion of Hungary’s Paks nuclear power plant. Aszódi told state news agency MTI that the Agency can assist with expertise and the examination of questions relating to infrastructure, plant operations and safety.
Stadler Completes Delivery Of Trains To Hungary

Swiss firm Stadler has supplied the last two commuter trains to state railway company MÁV and Austrian-Hungarian railways Gysev Cargo, reports Világgazdaság. MÁV signed a contract with Stadler in March, 2013 for the purchase of 42 Flirt commuter trains for €267 million, mostly funded by the EU. Stadler will supply six trains to Gysev in a related deal.

Austrian state railway company ÖBB has delivered 10 used carriages to its Hungarian counterpart MÁV, which have undergone an overhaul and are ready for use. MÁV Start CEO György Záránd said Hungary agreed to buy 55 Lange-Schlieren trains with a maximum speed of 140kph from ÖBB after the Austrian company bought trains capable of 160-180kph.
