Rosalia is an annual springtime wine fest in Budapest. Visitors are welcome to join in at Budapest's main City Park, behind Heroes' Square, to enjoy the tastes and atmosphere of Rosalia - entry is free, but you need to buy a glass, and all of the wine.

Each year, on 11 April, Hungarians come together to celebrate The Day of Hungarian Poetry. As a part of this event, held on the birthday of famed Hungarian poet Attila József since 1964, people young and old celebrated the inspiring achievements of their country’s greatest literary geniuses.

The 38th Budapest Spring Festival - Hungary's largest arts festival - is now on until 22 April. The programme is packed with events from nearly every imaginable area of the arts, including classical music, opera, jazz, world music, dance, contemporary circus, theatre plus visual arts disciplines.

HUF 5.356 million was raised for Hungarian charities, a record amount for this annual soiree held for the second consecutive year in the Marriott's grand ballroom, on Bonfire Night: "Remember, remember the 5th of November" as the British poem goes.

This annual festival featuring 250 types of spiced up meat will be held at the Hungarian Railway Museum this year. As well as lots of porky specials available along several 'Sausage Streets', there will be family programs, folklore shows, 'nostalgic music programs' and dance, plus apparently presentations of enormous sausages, during this three day special Hungarian gastro event.
