Hot chocholate, romance and a triple Rittberger; we have collected the ...

- 29 Nov 2012 8:00 AM

By local expat Adri Bruckner: The holidays and winter wouldn’t be complete with a few rounds around a scenic skating rink, and warming up afterwards with a cup of hot chocolate or mulled wine! Budapest has some great places for a skate, all with skate rental, lessons, opportunities to rent rinks for parties, and a good time to be had by all. I think I’ve been to every rink in the city, since I ...

So here we came – a Hungarian family and friends – supporting someone special at the XXX. London Summer Olympic Games Modern Pentathlon event. That morning we hit the road as early as 06.00 as our hotel was around South Croydon and we had to get to Stratford by 7.30 for the first event held in the Olympic Park. Although travelling around London for someone not speaking the language may seem a bit ...
Xpat Report: 2012 Summer Olympics

I believe it has been instilled into our minds throughout time that summer means getting slimmer and in shape. Whatever the reason is, it is always good to take a step back and evaluate if you possibly could shed a few Kilos, no matter what the ...

"Sunday afternoon I finally went to the horse races at Kincsem Park in Budapest. This venue was built in 1925, and named after the horse Kincsem that won 54 races in the 1870's. It is very easy to get to - just take Metro 2 to the Pillango Ut stop. Go around the station through the tunnel and then follow the path along the white railings (bear left). Amazingly, entry is free and refreshments are ...
