After its current agreement on delivery of natural gas runs out, Hungary will enter into a long-term agreement with Russian state-owned gas giant Gazprom starting from 2021, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó told MTI on Wednesday in Moscow. As part of the agreement, Gazprom is storing 900 million cubic meters of natural gas in Hungary’s storage facilities, Szijjártó said.

The government should state its reasons for aiding the construction of an oncology centre in Vietnam with 60 million euros, opposition Jobbik said on Friday. The contract to aid the 500-bed centre had been signed by the Socialist government in 2009, Andrea Varga-Damm of Jobbik told a press briefing. In 2017 Q2, developments in corporate and household lending showed a further improvement. The annual growth rate of total corporate loans accelerated to 7 per cent. Lending to SMEs, including the self-employed sector, expanded by 13 per cent. As a result, SME lending was able to grow on market basis following the termination of the Funding for Growth Scheme.
