Hungary is extending its cooperation agreement with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) by one year with the aim of improving the situation of children fleeing Ukraine, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in New York on Monday.

Pope Francis on Tuesday appointed Kornél Fábry, of the clergy of the diocese of Kaposvár, as auxiliary bishop of the metropolitan archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest, assigning him the titular see of Guardialfiera, the Hungarian Catholic Bishops’ Conference (HCBC) said in a statement.
