The Hungarian government is planning to draft legislation on restricting the consumption of energy drinks, according to State Secretary at the Ministry of Human Resources Bence Rétvári. The cabinet has decided to extend the ban on Sunday retail activity, to take effect on 15 March, to world heritage sites, government spokesman András Giró-Szász has said. In addition to large areas in central Budapest, the decision will affect the towns of Sátoraljaújhely, Szerencs, Sárospatak and Tokaj in the Tokaj historical wine region in northeastern Hungary.
