Robert Gilvesy was born to Hungarian parents who travelled from Szatmár County to Canada to join the Hungarian diaspora looking for international opportunities and adventures. He grew up on a Canadian farm and developed an inner resonance with the land and soil. He was trained as an architect and after a successful career in business, he rediscovered his passion to work on the land.
