The government has announced it will begin removing posters and billboards featuring Hungarian-born financier George Soros from Saturday, ahead of the FINA World Aquatics Championships and a visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and complying with a newly passed law on billboard advertising, atv.hu reports.

The 22nd Budapest Pride festival of the gay (LGBTQ) community opened on Friday night. At the opening ceremony, Szilvia Nagy of the organising Rainbow Mission Foundation said it was “not easy” to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer in Hungary, and recalled that it was in 2007 for the first time that Pride marchers in Budapest were attacked by violent “counter-demonstrators”.

There will be 2 million pieces of the unique coin issued among which 12 000 coins would come as gift-wrapped first strike coins (brilliant uncirculated) whereas 7000 pieces would be proof coins in the 2017 set.

Speaking at an event organised by the German Economic Club (DWC) in Budapest on Saturday evening, Zoltán Balog said the government would spend a total 6 billion forints (EUR 19.4m) on the creche programme.
