Over HUF 1.1 million was raised for charity at the 11th birthday celebration of XpatLoop.com in 2011. That's all thanks to 200+ guests; many event supporters; and main sponsors: Vodafone Hungary, Holmes Place Budapest, Qatar Airways.

Update: We’re delighted to report there’s been a fantastic response to our invitation to mix and mingle with fellow Xpats this Saturday the 5th of November, on ‘Bonfire Night’. Before Monday, 1 March, my only connection with the little country in the southwestern UK was a joke t-shirt I once had with the logo 'Save the Wales' emblazoned across its chest. And I watched the Welsh rugby side beat England at Twickenham a few years ago. Otherwise, nothing. So I was flattered to be recently invited to the first ever St. David’s Day celebration here in Budapest.
