Peoples migrating over enormous geographical distances, the rise of new religious ideologies, the transformation of political and social systems – early medieval Europe is not nearly as far from our present days, as we may think. This is what brought the European Union project entitled Connecting Early Medieval Collections (CEMEC) to life.

When I came to Budapest many pints of Guinness ago, there weren’t too many places celebrating St. Patrick’s day. Now the city has many venues that embrace this joyous occasion, none more so than one of the original Irish pubs in town.

Quotes from 11 Polish poets have been written on cakes in Balatonfüred, a small town at the lake Balaton, in Hungary on the Polish Hungarian Friendship Day. Polish cookie recipes were also given to the visitors of Rama Charity Cake-factory.

Once a month, those with a thirst for knowledge can gain some insight into the "secrets” of one of Müpa Budapest's most exciting features under the guidance of organist László Fassang. The head of the OrganExpedition programme is a teacher at both the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and the Conservatoire de Paris, as well as being the programmer of Müpa Budapest's organ concerts.
