The only classical ballet company of Hungary, the Hungarian National Ballet (resident at the Hungarian State Opera) is proud to announce its 2016/17 season. With over 120 performances throughout the season, fans of classical balett and contemporary dance performances are offered a wide selection in popular repertoire pieces and new productions at the Opera House and the Erkel Theatre.

The Budapest Bartók Archives presents rarely shown original documents, compositional and scholarly manuscripts, letters, photos form the Hungarian Bartók Estate and some little known documents from the Kodály Archives, to give a rare insight into this exceptional musical life and work.

This is not the first time the Szeged Contemporary Dance Company have been featured at the Spring Festival, or have performed with a symphonic orchestra. Following their cooperation with the Hungarian National Philharmonic for a production of The Wooden Prince, with choreography by Tamás Juronics, the company now appear with the Pannon Philharmonic.
