New Inquiry Into Budapest Airport Privatisation
"The Budapest Prosecutor’s Office has ordered an investigation into the 2005 privatisation of Budapest Airport on suspicion of misuse of funds and embezzlement, government commissioner Gyula Budai told reporters. Budai declared on October 6 that the state may have lost about €85 million due to a “flawed privatisation” of the right to operate Budapest’s international airport, citing a lack of development and related sanctions. more »
