Hungary May Get LNG From The Gulf
"Negotiations are at an advanced stage on building a terminal in Croatia for receiving liquefied natural gas (LNG) to be shipped from Oman and Qatar, Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány announced Wednesday in Qatar.

Once a decision is reached, the terminal could be completed by 2011. Its capacity would be approximately equal to the amount of gas Hungary imports from Russia annually.

Gyurcsány met Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Jassem Jabor Al-Thani in Doha on Wednesday, one day after discussing economic co-operation in Oman.

He also announced the launch within the foreseeable future of a food for oil exchange between Hungary and the Gulf states. According to plans, the Gulf states would primarily plant wheat on land rented in Hungary and would pay for the food in oil and gas."
