U.S. Embassy Joins Habitat For Humanity To Build Home For Autistic People
"Consul General Jeff Lodinsky participated in a groundbreaking ceremony and construction of the Miskolc Autistic Association’s home for those with autism. The U.S. Embassy and the American International School of Budapest have joined with Habitat for Humanity for many years to construct housing for those in need.

Embassy employees and students from the International School have volunteered their time and energy to enable a number of Hungarian families to move into new homes. The Miskolc Autistic home, located in nearby Szakáld, will eventually provide shelter for ten residents and their caretakers.

Habitat for Humanity Hungary began in 1996 with the first project started by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter. Since that time Habitat has worked at nine locations and helped more than 340 families."
