'Jewish Summer Festival', Budapest, 26 August - 6 September
"The Jewish Summer Festival has grown to be one of the most significant, largest, and most popular cultural and artistic events in Hungary. This festival, held in the last week of the summer, mobilizes such parts of society that otherwise show lesser interest in the various cultural events held during the year.

Visitors not only gain insight into a culture that they may not have known well before but can also become a part of it. They can become familiar with the traditions and feasts of a several-thousand-year-old culture and be enriched by the art and performances of the participating artists and performers. The event series preserves tradition as well as feeds from it, but is also renewed yearly, enhancing its palette with new colours each year.

Tickets:
Due to last year’s success the main ticket-vendor for this year’s festival is Interticket, meaning tickets will be available in hundreds of ticket offices and naturally online as well. Nonetheless, progress must be made on all accounts and as such Jegymester will also take a grand part in the sales online.

This year ticket purchases via SMS are also tested, hence tickets for the Matisyahu concert on September 5 will also be available via text messaging.

It must be noted that the Festival’s ticket office will open on July 1, but not under the usual address in Síp street 12., but in the Jewinform office at the Dohány Street Synagogue, offering not only tickets but also information regarding the program.
