'Moonlight Nights', Budapest, City Hall, 26 August
"The open-air concert series Moonlight Nights began in 1999 on the initiative of Endre Hegedűs, a Liszt Prize winning piano artist, and his wife. Their aim was to offer relaxing night concerts that provide real entertainment to local and foreign music lovers, in the heart of Budapest, after the hot hours of summer day,s in the open air.

The Principal Courtyard of the County Hall has a unique atmosphere with its picturesque environment, historic aura, excellent acoustics and its 200-year-old giant Canadian oak tree. In case of bad weather, the old ceremonial hall upstairs gives room to the concerts.

Last year another location was added to the increasingly popular concert series: the Vojnovich-Huszár villa invites visitors to the hills of South Buda (near Campona), where they can enjoy the refreshing surroundings of the fabulous garden or the spacious house on rainy days. If you want to enjoy both a lovely and intimate atmosphere and high quality music, visit any of the Moonlight Nights.
