By offering discounts and prizes the railway company attempts to call the attention of the public to the possibility of decreasing the harmful environmental effects of car traffic, connecting bicycle and railway traffic.

From 23rd Sept. to 22nd October discounted monthly bicycle season tickets can be bought, so now for the price of a bicycle season ticket previously valid for 15 km passengers may transport their bikes at any distance. During the weekends of September 25th -26th, October 2nd- 3rd, October 9th – 10th and October the 16th – 17th a second bike ticket is free of charge if two bikers travel together.

The prize of the autumn kilometre gathering rail competition in the Advent season can be used in Vienna, and two second class return tickets for 2 people – reads the MÁV-START communiqué.
