Population In Hungary Drops Below Ten Million
"Hungary's population has fallen below ten million based on the data of the first eight months of the year, a Central Statistics Office (KSH) official told Inforádió on Wednesday. The greatest problem, she explains, is that women are tending to put off having children, the KSH added.

Modern Hungary's population first topped the ten million mark in 1960 and peaked at 10.71 million in 1981. The decline has been continuous every year since then, with the exception of 1992."
