Repairing Flood Damage In Miskolc With Habitat for Humanity

"In the United States, September 11th is commemorated as a National Day of Service and Remembrance with millions of Americans volunteering in their communities. In this spirit, on September 25th, volunteers from the American Embassy in Budapest joined by Americans and Hungarians from Habitat for Humanity rebuilt the Symbiosis Autistic Home in Miskolc.
The building, which houses 14 people with special needs and provides daily services to another 40, was seriously damaged in the June floods. Led by a team of professionals, the volunteers carried out renovation work to prevent similar flooding in the future.
