Ryanair Opened Its Budapest Base On 17 Feb.
"Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, on 17th February officially opened its 51st base in Budapest, where it is initially basing three aircraft (growing to 5 aircraft by summer 2012), operating 32 routes which will deliver up to 2.4m passengers p.a. and 2,400 jobs as Ryanair invests over $350 million in Hungarian aviation and tourism.

Ryanair’s 32 Budapest routes (listed below) are now on sale at www.ryanair.com/hu.

Ryanair celebrated the opening of its Budapest base today by releasing 5,000 seats from €5.50 for travel in April which are available for booking until midnight Monday (20th Feb).

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:

“Ryanair is delighted to open its Budapest base with 32 routes now on sale on www.ryanair.com/hu to allow Hungarian consumers/ visitors to beat the recession and escape loss making Wizzair’s high fares by switching to Ryanair’s lowest fares and our no fuel surcharge guarantee to 32 exciting destinations in Italy, Germany Greece and Spain among others. Ryanair’s 2.4m passengers p.a. will sustain up to 2,400 jobs at Budapest Airport and in the surrounding region.
Ryanair also commits that its lowest fares will be at least 50% lower than Wizzair and with at least double the availability of Wizzair’s promotional prices.”
