IT Company Sees Flaw In SZÉP Cards In Budapest
"IT security company Balabit has raised concerns about the safety of paying for goods and services with the SZÉP Széchenyi holiday cards. The payment receipt contains all of the information necessary for online payment, namely the 16-digit card number, the expiry date of the card and the name of the cardholder, Balabit points out.

Unauthorised use of such data could lead to losses for cardholders, Balabit warned.

Moreover, no PIN code is required for payments with the card, nor is there any identification check prior to paying.

One issuing bank told news website Index that health fund cards work exactly the same way and there have been no reports of fraud."
