Only 10% Of Hungarians Feel Fit
"Only 10% of Hungarians consider themselves to be in excellent physical health, market researcher IRIS Network found as part of an international survey. About 50% consider their health good, 33% say it is sufficient and 10% say they are in bad condition.

The results place Hungary in the bottom third of European countries, together with Poland and Ukraine among others. Ireland leads the list.

Hungarians visit doctors and outpatient clinics more than the EU average, while 10% also visit alternative healing experts.

About 40% of Hungarians declared themselves fully satisfied with family doctors, and 40% mostly satisfied, which is above the European average.

However, 80% of Hungarians say the health care system is bad, slightly worse than the figures for Germany, Slovenia and Ireland. Romanians have the worst view of their health care sector, where only 6% consider the system adequate.

Most Hungarians blame the sector’s problems on inadequate funding."
