Ticket Inspector Assaulted In Budapest
The common-law partner of a public transport fare dodger assaulted a ticket inspector on a tram in Budapest on Monday, cutting his lip, the Budapest Transport Centre announced. A woman riding on tram 14 without a ticket was fined by an inspector at the Lehel tér terminus of the tram.

She co-operated but told her common-law partner. He then opened the door to the BKV shed, struck the inspector in the face and fled.

A ticket inspector was last injured on the 173E bus on Bosnyák tér on July 13.
