Invitation: Soundquest: Music Exhibition, Budapest, 5 - 7 October
The 7th Hangfoglalás – Soundquest Music Industry Trade Show and Exhibition offers 300 concerts, 10.000 instruments, musicians, DJs, public meetings and instrument flea market to its guests between 5th and 7th October in Budapest’s SYMA Event and Congress Centre. Central Europe’s biggest musical demonstration is bigger than ever: this year music takes the lead on 12. 000 square metres. All programs are free of charge.

Hangfoglalás – Soundquest Music Industry Trade Show and Exhibition has been providing music lovers, families, professionals and hobby musicians with an outstanding event for years.

The representatives of music industry show the audience their instruments as well as the most up-to-date achievements of sound, lighting, stage and studio techniques at Central Europe’s biggest musical demonstration. This year between 5 and 7 October in SYMA Event and Congress Centre visitors have the possibility not only to see but to try more than 10.000 different instruments. Guests can choose from among nearly 300 free musical events: fans can meet their favourite performers who give concerts, presentations and hold public meetings.

Instrument flea market is a novelty in 2012, where guitars, synthesizers, violins and other instruments as well as amplifiers, microphones and other musical accessories can change hands. As the biggest musical display in Central Europe, Hangfoglalás – Soundquest had 47. 000 guests in three days last year.

Since more and more visitors arrive each year, the halls A, B and C of SYMA will also be opened this year in order to allow programs and exhibitors present themselves in an area of 12. 000 square metres instead of the former 8.000 square metres. This expansion enables the separation of the loud instruments and a silent room will also be provided. Furthermore, there will be more stages for concerts than in previous years.

Professional conferences are also going to be organised in the three days of the event. Artisjus (Society Artisjus Hungarian Bureau for the Protection of Authors’ Rights) going to elaborate on the questions of artist and new internet legislation. Copyright issues are going to be analysed by the Magyar Könnyűzeneszerzők és Szövegírók Egyesülete (Association of Hungarian Librettists and Music Composers). The Hungarian Society for Theatre Technology is going to discuss the challenges of personal monitoring, sound and stage lightening.

This time the Producer and DJ Meeting, which lasted only for one day last year, wait for the visitors throughout the whole event. Some of the companies exhibiting DJ and producer equipments are also going to hold workshops. This way, visitors can not only take a synthesizer into their hands and try a controller or mixer out, but experts will demonstrate them how these equipments work. Moreover, visitors can not only get acquainted with the equipments but with the producers and DJs too. All programs are free of charge.
