Long & Short Term Health & Fitness Aims - By Steven Eugene Kuhn
Well, I guess I could make something up about fall being the time to get back in shape but truly every time is the right time to get back in shape, or even step it up a notch should you already be doing well.

We speak to dozens of members and potential members a day about why they want to get fit or what their goal is, what we call the "live well goal". About 80% of the time the answer is a short term target; Wedding, vacation, race of some sort or some other reason that has to do with someone else.

Health and fitness is a very personal matter, the reasons we want to reach a certain goal for someone else can be a motivating factor, in fact they are. Finding time in your daily life to jump into the club to sweat a bit can be challenging but think of the rewards!

When you train, even for a short time, you are releasing hormones that make you feel great, you are keeping your body balanced, not to mention the simple fact that you are being active and that has a myriad of benefits from strengthening bones to boosting your youth hormones.

In the end we do what we do for ourselves and the ones we care for, the trick is to balance this out and make health and fitness a part of your daily life, creating a routine that requires no hurdle to achieve. I personally have been training for over 30 years, of course at different intensity, sometimes more cardio or more resistance, but I always train.

I truly cannot imagine not training, even if it is sometimes a pain in the neck to get to the gym. The habit is what counts, the routine is what keeps me going, this leads me to being healthier, stronger and actually helps me defy my age (which is just a nice byproduct)

We would like to invite all of you to come in for a visit, take a moment and speak with our staff to see how we can help you get to where you want to go and possibly assist in a long term habit!

Wishing you a wonderful fall and sustained health!
