What to see:

The Nyköping Archipelago - The archipelago in Sörmland is one of the most beautiful in the world. It has always been sparsely populated and has many pristine beaches. In the summer there are boats going out into the archipelago from Nyköping’s harbour.

Go for a cruise in the archipelago of Nyköping along the legendary Victoria route. Make a roundtrip from the harbour of Nyköping with M/S Saga Lejon or M/S Storsand.

Ride the aerial ropeway and drive a boxcar– Palstorps hage - Jump in the hay, try out the obstacle course, ride the merrygo-round, have fun in play cabins and much more. Fun for everyone! Situated on a farm west of Nyköping.

Öster Malma Manor and game enclosure - The baroque Öster Malma Manor is surrounded by rolling fields and forest. The manor is open for parties, dinners and other special occasions. Enjoy a fine dinner inspired by local game in the modern restaurant next door, open six days a week. New! From spring 2012 there are five game enclosures at Öster Malma covering 25 hectares with elk (moose), red deer and fallow deer!

In Nyköping, we have a classic shopping street with apparel shops, home decorating shops and the major chains. Most are concentrated along a kilometre stretch.

You can shop seven days a week, and our active town association offers a variety of events during the year, with music, fashion shows and different theme days.

On Väster Street, you’ll find well-known stores all under one roof in the Västerport and Nyckeln malls. Be active. On Öster Street small shops with home accessories, clothes, art and furniture are to be found.

Right outside the centre there are several bigger shopping centres. In Nyköping, everything is comfortably close-by. Go grab a bargain!

Route 223 - Shops with home accessories, handicrafts and home-made jams. You’ll find just about everything along Route 223, which runs between Nyköping and Mariefred through a lovely rolling landscape. Keep your eyes open for a sunflower along the roadside!

Pål Jungs Hage - Pål Jungs Hage is located north of Nyköping along the E4, 3 minutes from the centre of Nyköping. Here you´ll find the food hall City Gross and in the galleria a Pharmacy, Flügger color, Carman beds & shades, interior and Kandelaria. Next to the galleria there are Max Hamburger, Em furniture and Kakelpalatzet. Also Stadium Outlet.

Cityarkaden - Well-known Swedish store brands such as: MQ, Vero Moda, Make Up Store and Cubus. At Coffehouse by George you can meet up with your friends and enjoy a cafe latte.

Events: Nyköping has a wide variety of different events throughout the year. Culture plays a large role and there is a lot to choose from. Make a visit to Culturum where you find the library along with the concert hall. Bring the children to the creative Barnkulturcentrum (Children Culture Centre)
