Thermal Baths Open In Budapest During Christmas
Budapest has officially carried the title of 'Spa City' for 80 years, however as you may know its unique thermal bathing facilities were recognized by Roman legionaries over 2000 years ago. Most of the baths open today were established by the Turks, examples such as Rudas and Király are still in operation after five hundred years, and many are open for seasonal bathers over the holiday season - read on for details and opening times.

25 December, 2012 (Tuesday)

Gellért Thermal Baths is open from 8 am to 6 pm, Lukács, Király and Széchenyi Baths are open from 10 am to 6 pm. The other baths remain closed.

26 December, 2012 (Wednesday)

The Széchenyi, Rudas, Lukács and Dagály Baths are open from 6 am to 8 pm. Gellért Baths is open from 8 am to 8 pm, Király Baths is open from 9 am to 8 pm. Csillaghegyi Baths is open from 6 am to 5 pm. Dandár Baths is closed. Rudas Baths is offering bathing for both sexes.

NEW YEAR'S EVE OPENING TIMES

31 December, 2012 (Monday)

Dandár and Csillaghegyi Baths are open from 6 am to 2 pm, Széchenyi, Gellért, Rudas, Lukács and Dagály Baths are open from 6 am to 6 pm. Király Baths is open from 9 am to 6 pm. Rudas Baths is offering bathing for both sexes.

1 January, 2013 (Tuesday)

Gellért Baths is open from 10 am to 8 pm. Széchenyi, Lukács, Rudas and Király Baths are open from 12 am to 8 pm. The other baths are closed. Rudas Baths is offering bathing for both sexes.

Notes:
Cash desks close one hour before closing time.
In the period between Christmas and New Year's Eve baths are operating as usual.
