Xpat Event Report: CEU Business School Info Session In Budapest
I went to an info session at CEU Business School for a taste of the state-of-the-art MBA programs it offers. The event started with an introduction from Mel Horwitch, Dean and University Professor, who described the programs’ focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. He explained why he sees CEU as a bridge, because of its geographical location, between east and west, and how this gives the school a unique spirit.

Paul Lacourbe, Associate Professor of Operations Management talked enthusiastically about how the programs are delivered and the emphasis on professional links, fieldwork and the importance of social, political, ethical and environmental changes in an international context.

Finally Gabor Vass (from Microsoft Hungary) gave the pros and cons of life as a student at CEU – including the advantages of being able to study in New York as part of the MBA program.

In addition to getting a sense of the overall dedication and professionalism of CEU Business School faculty and students, I came away feeling that earning an MBA is not just a financial investment, it is an investment in your future and family, something you cannot put a price on.
