Tavares Denies Apologising To Hungary's Roma Authority President Farkas
Portuguese Green Party MEP Rui Tavares yesterday denied that he had apologised to National Roma Authority president and Fidesz MP Flórián Farkas at their Wednesday meeting in Brussels.

Tavares told Népszava that when Farkas said they should have met before the report was drafted, Tavares replied that Fidesz had decided which of the party’s MPs he would meet with while in Budapest, and could have brought Farkas along to the talks.

Tavares expressed regret that false reports are published in the Hungarian media about the report, which was approved by the EU Parliament on July 3.
