Event Report: Vegetarian Festival, Budapest
There is more to vegetarianism than a bunch of cold salads and peace ‘n’ love. If you have a fondness for cooking, then you can do miracles with almost anything from peas to pulses.

This year’s vegetarian festival included much to stimulate the senses. It had everything from professional lectures on raw diet, vegan life style, child nourishment, preventing allergic disease and how and when to fast. Also included were workshops on how to seek harmony between our soul and body.

One of the aims of these festivals is to clarify misunderstandings about vegetarian diet and promote a healthy lifestyle. (“I am a vegetarian but eat fish…hmm!”)

During the 2 days, there were free consultations with naturopaths and healers, a vegetarian cooking competition, as well as, concerts and performances and Bella Bagdi concluded the event with a concert. All designed for a balanced and nutritional day out.
