Corruption Risk In Public Sector Edges Up In Hungary, Says Audit Office
Hungary’s foreign trade chief held talks in Montevideo and signed bilateral agreements with Uruguay on economic and education cooperation on Thursday. Assessing the second day of his official visit to South America, Péter Szijjártó told MTI by phone that he first held talks with Luis Porto, the acting foreign minister of Uruguay.

Szijjártó assured Porto of Hungary’s support to speed up cooperation talks between EU and South American customs union Mercosur. Further, they signed a bilateral economic cooperation agreement for reinvigorating Hungary’s engineering equipment exports to Uruguay.

Szijjártó said he discussed in the economy ministry prospects of boosting bilateral trade that last year totalled 36 million dollars and possibilities of Hungarian participation in Uruguay’s infrastructure development projects. He also signed an education cooperation agreement with acting education minister Oscar Gomez.
