Now On: Contemporary Drama Festival, Until 2 Dec.
The event organisers invite Xpats to this Budapest extravaganza of drama: "As a foreigner living in Hungary, you may not be able to go to the theatre as often as you wish or would, due to language difficulties and the lack of subtitles. Don’t worry, we have good news for you: the Contemporary Drama Festival Budapest (27 November – 2 December 2013) is here, with the innovative and exciting new Hungarian theatre performances, which are all subtitled in English! So don’t miss this awesome opportunity to meet the future of Hungarian theatre!"

The Contemporary Drama Festival Budapest is an international contemporary text-based theatre festival. It showcases contemporary aesthetics, mentality and style, that is, it presents Hungarian and international theatre today.

You can see a selection of the most outstanding Hungarian theatre performances of the last and the new season with focus on the new Hungarian theatre generation. The Contemporary Drama Festival Budapest provides the opportunity for these talented young professionals to introduce themselves and their works for the first time in the framework of a festival.

Do you want to know more about what this generation thinks about and how they see the world of today? We invite you to join us in this really exciting adventure. You can see performances about Hungary’s informer past (Reflex, Secrets of Ours) corruption (Corruption, A Profitable Position) and even some theatre “delights”.

On top of all that, you can be part of an amazing social experience too, if you join us in the evenings for the Get-together Festival Dinner, accompanied by live concerts and an enjoyable atmosphere. Meet you at the festival! Tickets can be bought in the event venues.
