WAMP Design Fair At The Millenáris Teátrum Budapest, 24 Nov
At the November fair, unique objects created by almost 100 designers await WAMP visitors again. In addition to clothing, jewellery and accessories made by Hungarian designers, clothing, toys and books for children will also be available, supplemented by hand-made delicacies at the WAMP gastro section.

The winner of the Designer of the Month award, Dóri Visy jewellery designer will present her latest winter collection to the general public for the first time this Sunday. She used yellow gold and blackened silver for this collection, which was inspired by yellow autumn leaves and bare twigs lying on the ground. The basic source of inspiration for Dóri’s designs is her admiration for Nature, for its versatility and unique shapes. She only makes one piece of each design, with no exceptions, and she is happy to create custom-made pieces to order.

Programme for children

Familiar and new activities await families with children. The Recreativity creative workshop, which uses recycled materials, will be back, focusing on accessories made from wine bottle corks this time.

The Zoom Workshop will be featured at WAMP for the first time. This workshop will be mainly targeted at children between 4-12, who will be able to create jewellery containers and necklaces from old wooden boards and discarded toys. Parents will also be welcome at the Zoom Workshop, as working together is a memorable experience for children and grown-ups alike.

Book shows

The bilingual book by Emese Gellért - Marcus Goldson - Gwen Jones entitled A CSODÁLATOS VILLAMOS - THE MAGIC TRAM will be presented this Sunday. This story is about a snake who has grown too long. ‘So the snake sets out to solve the biggest problem in his life, but encounters failure after failure. After lots of trials and tribulations, there is a happy end, of course, and even Budapest residents benefit from it.’ The poem written by Emese Gellért was illustrated by Marcus Goldson. The authors will autograph the book at the event.

The Cerkabella Publisher will present its brand new literary cookbook entitled Tejbegríz (Semolina Pudding) at the design fair. Zsófia Mautner created the recipes to go with the writings of contemporary Hungarian writers, while Zita Kismarty-Lechner made the illustrations. About a dozen participants of the project will be there to autograph the book at the fair.

The writers, the editor of the book (Andrea Lovász), the illustrator and the creator of the recipes will be present at the event.
Visitors can have the book autographed and can chat with the authors starting 3:00 p.m. They will also have the chance to taste some chocolates made following one of the recipes in the book.

The recycling workshop held by the Cellux Group starts at 4:00 p.m. Visitors can gift-wrap the copies purchased as a present and can create their own recipe book, made from recycled sheets of paper and covered by the copies of illustrations in Tejbegríz.

Entry to WAMP fairs is possible by purchasing 5 WAMPER vouchers worth 100 HUF each, which altogether costs 500 HUF. Children under 14 and pensioners can enter without buying vouchers, upon presenting their student or pensioner card. These visitors can enter the fair without a wristband.
