Mystery Buyers Behind Management Buyout At TV2 In Hungary
Germany’s ProSiebenSat1 has sold Hungary’s TV2 in a management buyout led by TV2 CEO Zsolt Simon and chief financial officer Yvonne Dederick. The price was not disclosed, but observers estimate it at Ft 20 billion.

Simon announced that the company behind them has Hungarian owners, but would not reveal further details.

The management of TV2 is said to have good links with the Fidesz party, and most employees of TV2 think that investors related to Fidesz are behind Simon and Dederick, news website Index reported.

Socialist Róbert Braun and Viktor Szigetvári of Together called for an investigation into TV2’s new ownership structure, on the grounds that the buyers may be closely linked to Fidesz.
